SFS Ladies too hot for Sunderland
Scarborough Football Scholarship Ladies claimed a thrilling 6-4 win when they entertained Sunderland 2 in the National Football Youth League Womens’ Premier. Hat-trick hero Christy Thompson The lead was doubled on the half-hour when striker Izzy Matique finished well. Sunderland dug in and pulled it back to 2-2, but a speculative strike from distance by Christy Thompson restored the lead. Sunderland took control either side of the break and managed to forge ahead at 4-3.

SFS teams back in action
Two of Scarborough Football Scholarship’s teams will be in action on Wednesday with home games at the Flamingo Land Stadium. Scholars come out on top against i2i
Scarborough Football Scholarship returned to action after an enforced break with a 2-0 friendly win on the road at i2i International Academy. The Scholars looked rusty for much of the game, but still had enough quality to come out on top. The Scarborough Football Scholarship are holding an Open Evening at the Flamingo Land Stadium on December 16. The football and education provider will be throwing the event open to male and female students that are currently in school Year 11. The Open Evening, which takes place between 6pm and 9pm, will give potential scholars the chance to meet the tutoring and coaching staff and ask any questions they have about the course. Fixtures out for Scholars Under-23s
The Scarborough Football Scholarship’s Under-23 team will kick off their National Football Youth League campaign at the beginning of next month with an away trip at Carlisle United. This game on December 7th will be a Scholarship debut in that league, which also contains Everton, Crystal Palace, Barnsley and Tranmere Rovers. SFS minibus signed up
One of our SFS minibuses is really looking the part after being signed up by Scarborough company Blue Raptor Signs. The minibus, which takes our students to and from both their studies and games, has now been emblazoned with our logos and graphics. Director Steve Brennan said: “Blue Raptor have done a great job. We can now advertise SFS wherever we go.”
